Save Time, Save Money
Don't Replace - Resurface!

Resurfacing Service and Product Description

Surface Rescue uses state-of-the-art equipment, techniques, and cutting edge products endorsed by the Hotel/Motel Association for its resurfacing service. The products used are isocyanide free and the best in the industry. Surface Rescue's quality materials and workmanship insure a durable, beautiful finish, and a surface that will last for many, many years.

To insure a quality, professional, and "like new" finish, preparation of the surface to be refinished is extensive. First any caulking is removed and than the surface is chemically cleaned and sanded to insure absolute cleanliness and the surface finish will accept the new surface. Repairs are made to all chips and scratches; smoothing rough surfaces; grout repair (as in ceramic tile); reinforcing fiberglass shower and bathtub bases (where little structure support was installed initially); fiberglass repair in the case of stress cracks and chips; minor Formica repair and any other repairs that are needed to bring the surface as close to the original condition as possible.

Customers can save up to 70% of replacement costs by resurfacing. This is due to the high cost of hiring a variety of contractors needed to perform a replacement job as well as the cost of a new fixture. For example, to replace a bathtub, a plumber would have to come in to disconnect and then reconnect the plumbing. Removal would probably include the removal or partial destruction of any surround and most likely sheetrock behind. The floor could be damaged including floor covering. All these things, in addition to the cost of a carpenter to repair the damage could mean hundreds, if not thousands of dollars to the owner.  The same scenario occurs with tearing out countertops, cabinets, ceramic tile or fiberglass units.

The end result of resurfacing is that the item is given a new appearance while providing a durable, easy-to-clean surface. With custom coloring, customers who are remolding kitchens and baths have the option of color coordinating the major fixtures, at a fraction of the cost of replacement. The customer is asked to wait at least 24 hours before using the fixture and that cleaning is much like that of fiberglass or formica. The advantage of the new surface is that Surface Rescue can repair any incidental damage and return the "the new surface" look at a minimal charge.
